For a new pair of 5000 ohm NGK caps and pair of R5671A-7 spark plugs. Note: the R5671A-7 is recommended by NGK to replace the obsolete BP7ES. It is a racing plug, with a V grooved electrode and solid barrel terminal, smaller nut, smaller plug. See last photo for a side by side comparison.
There is no better modern ignition parts maker than NGK. You will be pleased with how tightly the the caps hold the plug, watertight, how snug the boots hold the wire. 5000 ohm internal resistor is recommended for all the electronic ignition machines (non-points), from 1981 up into the 1990s. You simply want the best spark you can, and these are the best. Lighter, better looking, better working. Just screw these new NGK caps onto stranded 7mm wires. No crimping! Improve your ignition in about 10 minutes.
