This Horseshoe Bolt-on Oil Tank fits Harley-Davidson 1952 - 1978 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL models. This tank is designed for use with a stock frame with bolt-on hardtail frame or can be used with a stock swingarm frame, however modifications to the front of the rear fender would be required. This oil tank clamps to the rear down tubes and is supported underneath by an included bolt-on bracket. All of the oil line fittings are 1/8" NPT and accepts a Harley-Davidson OEM-style oil filler plug, part 62625-36A. This oil tank comes in raw steel, oiled. Made in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. We stock several high-quality, USA-made reproduction filler caps made here in Ohio, USA by Colony Machine. The 7354-2 custom filler cap is high quality and affordable. OEM style reproductions are also available as a CAD Plated 62625-36A Filler Cap as well as a Parkerized 62625-36A Filler Cap.
