Vintage 1978 J.C. Whitney & Co. Motorcycle Accessories And Parts Catalog No. 16c Description Up for sale is a vintage J.C. Whitney & Co. Motorcycle Accessories and Parts Catalog from 1978; listed as Catalog No. 16c. This catalog was sitting in a drawer for the past unknown number of years (possibly decades) and once belonged to a family member who is no longer with us; so for all intents and purposes, this listing is part of an ongoing online estate sale of sorts. The catalog exhibits some minor signs of wear on it; appearing mostly in the form of yellowing on the pages brought on by overall age and general storage. There are also some minor scuff marks, crease bends, and minor tears throughout the edges and along the spline of the publication. Despite of this minor wear, the catalog still appears to be in great shape and even still has its original coupon stuck onto the front. The original mail order form is still stapled to the center of the catalog as well with only a minor touch of oxidation on the staples themselves. The other thing that's peaked my interest about this publication is that the J.C. Whitney brand is generally known for car related parts, so it's a bit rare to see a catalog of theirs from the seventies that specializes solely in motorcycle parts. Even the look and design of this catalog resembles an old comic book. It's also a bit larger than standard sized modern magazines; measuring approximately 9 & 3/8" wide by 11" tall. I'm pretty sure this catalog may be a collectible for motorcycle enthusiasts and/or vintage catalog collectors alike; hence the reason why I'm pricing it accordingly, so please be sure to get in on this deal while it still lasts, for my loss is your gain as they say in the trade.
